With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, engage with Walmart consumers, and convert Walmart consumers to shoppers.The Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)and Strategy Generalist will join Walmart Connect's (WMC) in-house Strategy team to help define WMC's long-term business unit strategy and to accelerate certain opportunities through M&A deal execution and post-close integration management. The WMC Strategy team is envisioning the future of WMC and its important role within Walmart; reports to the Director, Business Development.This role is onsite only in out of our Hoboken, NJ office.What You'll Do:
Evaluate new strategies and opportunities for WMC
Size market potential and evaluate competitors
Create actionable recommendations for WMC leadership and Walmart executives
Identify possible M&A or strategic partnerships
Conduct competitive landscaping and capability benchmarking
Assist in end-to-end M&A and partnership process evaluation and execution
Coordinate research and diligence
Develop driver-led financial modeling and leadership narratives
Handle internal and external communications - Support post-acquisition integration management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and build consensus
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 2 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 4 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area.
2 or more years of experience in investment banking, consulting, and/or corporate strategy with a focus on M&A deal evaluation in technology, retail, media or advertising.
Above-average financial modeling skills
Experience in research, data collection and analysis to support strategies
Comfortable presenting to and influencing executive level business and partners, as well as other partners
Experience in conceptualizing new ideas or innovation
Manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously
