Job DescriptionSummary and PurposeResponsible for the development of new sales opportunities, converting these to confirmed sales, managing the client through the on boarding process including the contracting process and maintaining a strong collaborative relationship with the client once on board. Liaising with colleagues across Whitespace to ensure all the Client’s ongoing transactional and strategic needs as they pertain to the Whitespace Platform.Ensure that all internal account management processes are followed, objectives met, key Performance Indicators managed and results shared at appropriate forums.Primary duties / responsibilities of the job :Account ManagementActively seek and convert new business opportunities as appropriateEnsure the timely and successful delivery and implementation of the Whitespace Platform within insurance related organisations / new clientsManage the client on boarding process including the management of the Whitespace contracting process through DocuSignBuild and maintain strong long-lasting customer relationships to ensure all client needs are met both short term transactional and longer term strategic objectives as they pertain to the Whitespace platform.Work closely with the Integrations team to ensure maximisation of revenue generation can be fulfilled through additional offered servicesOrganise and deliver Whitespace Platform demonstrations to prospective and existing customersAttend, run or assist at customer training demonstrations with other account managersOperate as the first point of contact for any and all non-technical matters specific to your accountsClearly communicate the progress of weekly / monthly / quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders at relevant meetingsRecord all work using the company’s preferred CRM and DMS systemsProvide support to the Chief Platform Officer and Chief Commercial Officer as requiredUndertake full account reviews and analysis using preferred company reporting toolsRegularly update the CRM system with latest revenue projections to support internal revenue forecasting processSuccessfully manage the end-to-end onboarding process for all new customersWork closely with the Support team to ensure escalated customer tickets and queries are handled quickly and effectivelyWillingness to work flexible hours at times, based on needsCompliance & TrainingAdhere to all company & regulatory policies and procedures as instructedCarry out all training provided to deadlines prescribedWork with compliance on IT relevant areas such as Data Security and Financial CrimeExecute the responsibilities of a company employee acting in a lawful and ethical manner in accordance with your contract of employment and company staff handbookWork with department manager for own professional development, including performance appraisal and identifying and meeting training needs in order to ensure competence and compliance with current regulationsQualificationsExperience Required5+ years of experience in an insurance related roleProven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant Sales role within insuranceDelivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.Education / Training / Qualifications requiredProfessional Qualification - Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) (desired not essential)Knowledge / Skills / Attributes requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent listening, negotiating and presentation skillsUnderstanding of Stakeholder managementIntermediate understanding of the risk placement process between brokers and carriersSolid experience with CRM software and MS OfficeUnderstanding of insurance acronyms and terminologyBroad understanding of the London Insurance MarketEntry level understanding of the global Insurance IndustryAn interest in technological advances in InsurtechWillingness to learn and be agile in a fast-paced environmentAbility to operate collaboratively with colleagues is essential.Ability to listen and retain new information quickly to disseminate to relevant internal stakeholdersLI-LM03Additional InformationFor over 50 years, Verisk has been the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry by delivering value to our clients through expertise and scale.
