Description If you're looking for work as an Accounting Manager, and are talented, there is an opportunity through Robert Half to work with a thriving Information Technology company that will recognize your efforts. Some general duties include leading daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. The ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations will be essential for this role. Based in the Jersey City, New Jersey area, this Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment. This role is hybrid with excellent compensation and benefits. Key responsibilities
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Regularly review and inspect balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Command sufficient knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, automation of ERP systems
Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Maintaining banking, online banking, and experience with global platforms
Experience accounting closings for North America and Latin America entities.
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Requirements
Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Microsoft Excel experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Proven technical skills
5+ years of accounting/finance experience
CPA or MBA preferred
