Jersey City Medical Center is also ideally located in the vibrant Jersey City waterfront community overlooking the harbor, just 10 minutes from New York City, with a grand view of the Statue of Liberty.DESCRIPTION:RWJBH is seeking an Anesthesia Technician at the Jersey City campus,This is a full-time day position with rotating Sunday's as a requirement.The Anesthesia Technician will provide assistance to the licensed Anesthesia providers in various settings by acquisition and preparation of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia.The anesthesia technician will be required to be cross trained in all areas such as general anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia and pediatric anesthesia. As an anesthesia technician you will be required to turn over rooms, stock rooms accordingly and maintain outside departments.Anesthesia Technician is available to the anesthesia provider all phases of the anesthetic care of the patient.The Anesthesia Technician demonstrates knowledge not limited to aseptic technique, universal precautions/ isolation precautions, OR surgical attire, laser safety, cell saver, patient positioning and body mechanics, massive transfusion protocol, glucometer, proper cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining various Anesthesia related equipment and stocking anesthesia supplies, etc,REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma, work related experience with strong understanding of medical terminology, preferably with 1-2 year of experience as Anesthesia Technician.Basic Life Support BLS through the American Heart Association AHA required.Team player, maintain professional attitude and departmental code of conductWe are committed to High Reliability and consistent demonstration of our Safety Together behaviors and tools:S - Speak up for SafetyA - Accurately communicateF - Focus on the taskE - Exercise and accept a questioning attitudeT - Thoughtfully interactY - You and Me Together$29.73 Hourly RateLet us shape the future of healthcare, together.
