As a Data Products Planning Lead, you will focus on defining curated data products to support business and technology in creating novel consumer experiences and products. You will be central to the firm's agenda of enabling the business to drive faster innovation through the use of its data, while simultaneously ensuring that data is of good quality and well-protected.You will be responsible for building forward-looking, foundational data products and core capabilities for future data platforms that will be used by our analysts to generate insights that are vital to sustain our competitive advantage in the marketplace. Collaboration with our analyst users will be essential to your success as you learn what their data requirements are.Job responsibilities

Coordinate across product, technology and design teams to enable curated data products and internal standards, which will support strategic business objectives, business operations, advanced analytics, and reporting

Collaborate with key partners across business, technology, analytics, operations, risk and control functions to drive an understanding of the data and its use within the business by providing data product subject matter expertise

Support the aligned Data & Analytics lead for their product by identifying data required to be integrated into analytics platforms to support analytics projects

Partner with our data consumers who want to use advanced AI and ML tools and gather their data products requirements; document requirements for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data within the product, and coordinate resources to deliver data quality requirements

Develop processes and procedures to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks for data products, including risks related to data protection, data retention and destruction, data storage, data use, and data quality

Track the execution of a set of milestones; understand and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in the product development lifecycle with respect to data

Support a strong culture of continuous innovation, rapid iteration, and collaboration across designers, engineers, and product managers. Both cloud, data, and our technology will evolve during the course of these initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

BS or MS degree in related discipline, i.e., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science

10+ years of experience, with at least 3+ years in a technology product management or technical lead role, and 5+ years of management experience

Well-versed with a solid understanding of Linked Data, Metadata, SPARQL, OWL, Knowledge Representation, Web Standards, W3C, Resource Description Framework (RDF), Semantic Technologies, Ontologies & taxonomies, DCAT etc.

Familiarity in data analysis, semantic modeling, knowledge and ontology engineering

Solid understanding of all aspects of the data products, data standards, data ecosystem - spanning from data ingestion, data engineering, data quality, usage/consumption, to data privacy considerations and governance in the financial industry

Extensive experience capturing and analyzing requirements (internal and external) and translating them into a viable product; Experience working with agile development teams on scalable, cloud-based SaaS solutions

Experience communicating within a Data or Technology business function and stakeholder management; Expert in reporting complex initiatives and briefing senior leaders

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Master's Degree/MBA

Professional experience related to Taxonomy, Ontology and/or Vocabulary Management

4-5 years' of professional work experience in Data Modeling in the financial industry

3+ years of Management Consulting experience (McKinsey, BCG, Bain etc.)
