The Global Technology Planning and Analysis team provides financial oversight for the Global Technology organization's 60,000+ resources and $15B+ spend. The Global Technology Planning and Analysis team is responsible for partnering across the firm to create a consolidated view of technology spend as well as provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting.As the Senior Associate on the Financial Planning and Analysis team, you will work directly with LOB and Enterprise Technology Planning & Analysis and expense leads as well as other teams within the Global Technology organization to execute on key deliverables, strategic agendas, and action items. The role can involve project-related work and investigation in addition to financial reporting, so the ability to work well with a wide range of colleagues at all levels, the flexibility to manage multiple deliverables, and an ability to recommend and influence change is essential.Job responsibilities
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis, with clear, impactful explanations of financial results and variances based on relevant business drivers, and help ensure expense goals are achieved
Maintain oversight of the process to deliver month-end results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years.
Partner with the various Tech Finance & Business Management teams to provide analytics and insight to technology expenses, risks & opportunities, run rate analysis and efficiency programs
Produce executive presentations, analysis and supporting materials for key internal clients including senior management; support the Global Technology CFO with ad-hoc special projects and requests, as needed
Support key deliverables such as Investor Day, quarterly Technology Functional Reviews, Global Technology Senior Leader presentations, and so on.
Perform variance analysis to understand key drivers of the financial results and present commentary to senior management and line of business Tech CFOs explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets
Become a key point of contact for Global Technology outlooks/forecasts and annual plan processes
Manage completion of monthly corporate deliverables, including interaction with Firmwide Planning & Analysis, Corporate Planning & Analysis and Allocations teams to provide commentary and walk forwards of monthly expense trends, movements and risks
Consolidate and review of Global Technology taxonomy reporting and related project detail, ensuring the details captured in multiple sources support the overall messaging and plans at a business level
Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation/models, where possible
Own continuous review of processes and ensure data integrity, with the goal of providing timely and accurate financial reporting and presentations
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or IS (Information Systems)
4+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, and/or relevant FP&A experience
Strong technical, analytical and modeling skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Essbase
Outstanding analytical and presentation skills (verbal and written), with ability to articulate complex issues clearly
Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations
Proven ability to act independently with excellent decision-making skills
Detail oriented individual with the ability to work well under pressure, handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
Interface with all levels in the organization from senior management to process participants
Ability to complete work within timely deadlines, with a sense of urgency
Be a team player who is easy to work with, shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance on high demand/time-sensitive initiatives
