Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applicationsYou will lead a small global team, design, architect and build a key firm-wide strategic public cloud graph database service underpinned by Neo4j. This is huge strategic area for the firm as we leverage the graph capabilities of the cutting edge platforms to help us maximize the potential of our AI/ML integrations. Our group is responsible for building centralized platform & database services across public cloud . These services are leveraged by all of our lines of business across the globe. Neo4j is the market-leading graph database and is leveraged across the firm in a number of areas, we want to standardize the offering with an eventual target state of hybrid cloud across AWS, GCP, Azure and on premise. You will be leading the engineering, provisioning and automation of the offering to make it available for consumption by any of our firm-wide application use cases. You will be the end to end owner of the platform from concept, design, compliance and security through to delivery, ongoing management and iterative development.Job responsibilities
Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Product management and leadership
Advanced in one or more programming language(s) -Python, Java, C, C, C#, Go
In depth experience with multiple enterprise databases, RDMS, NoSQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Neo4j, Cassandra etc)
Practical experience of architecting & developing applications or platforms on any one of the major public cloud providers (AWS, Google, Azure) complete with industry cloud certifications
Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
Infrastructure-as-code experience - Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and/or Salt
Experience of Python frameworks - Django/Flask etc.
Understanding and experience of Agile and Lean philosophies including experience with JIRA, YouTrack and/or similar
Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Executive level communications / negotiation skills
Budgets and financial forecasting
Defining and delivering roadmaps & working with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge and experience of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
