Performance Pod (ADA)

Evolving Albridge-s performance reporting capabilities, by developing UMA Sleeve Reporting, is a key priority for one of the experience gaps. Delivering multi custodial sleeve performance through the Pershing X platform, offers a unique advantage with strategic client prospects aligned to leverage the solution. The wealth management industry-s adoption of unified managed accounts (UMAs) is maintaining a steep trajectory, accounting for about 21% of all assets in advisory programs as of the third quarter of 2020, according to Cerulli Associates. Many experts project that UMAs will ultimately become the dominant model for managing the wealth of sophisticated investors. This value can translate into faster revenue growth and stronger client retention.

Description:

Senior Group Manager, Data Aggregation

Will be responsible for providing solutions and leading the data strategy and development of new capabilities necessary to power holistic data aggregation, insights and performance reporting solutions to advisors and investors through our Pershing X platform.

This person will work with our Data Aggregation team to help create the strategy, design, implement our new data lake solution. Responsibilities include identifying external data sources to design and build new data structures.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads multiple application development projects for one or several business segments, including all phases of the systems development and implementation process
  • Oversee the development of the core framework that all future products will leverage and ensures the framework is extensible and reusable across all products in the suite
  • Product-minded and able to collaborate with a Product Manager to give technical advice that will inform the product roadmap and vision
  • Perform tech assessments in Bigdata, Data Analytics areas, product evaluations and providing technical road maps and Architectural recommendations
  • Designs, implements, and enhances systems with high volume of data (Petabyte of raw data, around 100 TB of OLAP data)
  • Design implement and enhance distributed systems (Apache Spark).
  • Works within agile teams to ensure the proper use of platform technology, standards, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate ideas, give technical feedback, and mentor other team members

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in software development required; Start-up work experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in leading, managing and building out development teams.
  • Must have proficiency in application frameworks and containerization
  • Agile development required.
  • 10+ years Java backend.
  • 2+ years Spring experience required.
  • 2+ years- experience on Apache Spark required.
  • 2+ year Hazelcast (or any other IMDB) is a big plus.
  • Spring Batch experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Oracle, PLSQL.
  • Big Data experience is a required.
  • BDD (Behaviour-driven development) is a big plus.
  • Prior experience in FinTech and all other technologies is ideal, but not required.
