Resource is required to be on the assignment for the required hours as specified in the job description. Forty hours per week is the expectation in the absence of specified hours. Responsible for translating the requirements created by functional analysts into the architecture for that solution and describing it through the set of architecture and design documents. Those documents are then used by the rest of the development team to implement the solution. The process of defining architecture by the Solutions Architect often involves selection of the most appropriate technology for the problem being solved, impact assessment as well as technical and operational feasibility. Also, responsible for developing the high-level strategy to solve business problems. Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise standards. May be aligned to an applications or a technology stack.

This is a Data Engineer:
Work with SMEs to understand data requirements and translate them into data models.
Work with cross functional teams to gather relevant datasets.
Assemble large, complex data sets and automate the data validation and ETL process.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Prepare data for analytics and provide critical feedback on data quality issues.
Education/Experience
Required: Candidate must possess an advanced graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Information System.
7+ years of experience in advanced SQL and relational database (Oracle).
Deep expertise in manipulating and processing datasets from multiple disconnected data sources.
Advanced knowledge and expertise with data modeling.
Strong programing skills (UNIX shell script, Perl and Python, R, etc.)
