As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and improve top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.As a member of the Payments Product team within the Payments Technology organization, you'll contribute to the product roadmap, end-to-end architecture and design for product testing capabilities used across the enterprise and hands-on review, design as needed of the technology products. You'll partner with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to continuously innovate, contribute to the product vision and the technology roadmap to correlate business strategy with technology outcomes. Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers.
Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
Builds the framework and tracks the product's key metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and design troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to evaluate solutions or break down technical problems.
Develops thoroughly considered high-quality product testing requirements and delivery roadmaps.
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
Leads collaboration sessions with internal teams and vendors to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, product credentials, and testing applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
Leads product owner and SDLC standards across Stability & Resiliency organization to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
Gives back to the technology center community and leading technology advancement work streams.
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
Demonstrate ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
Experience in working in complex products in large global banks across multiple products and regions.
Balanced digital skills across Product, technology and digital skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as a product owner and/or testing automation experience with large enterprise applications for comparable companies.
Hands-on practical experience driving product design and delivery through the SDLC life cycle from ideation through launch and support.
Previous experience with Agile software development (or related experience)
Executive-level presentation skills (written, verbal)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrix & complex organization.
Payments industry knowledge or related experience, for example SWIFT ISO Standards, USD Fed Wire, CHIPS, International clearing
Advanced Product Owner skills (multi-period roadmap creation, value sequencing, business case writing)
Technical experience (software code, API's, technical design)
External large client-facing experience (for example Fortune 500 or large fintech)
