Job Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, OBGYNLocation: Geisinger Jersey Shore HospitalDepartment: Women’s HealthWork Schedule: 8:00 A – 5:00 P, Monday - FridayWork Type: Full TimeJob Summary :Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of clients presenting for routineobstetrical and gynecological care, family planning or minor gynecological complaints by means of interview, health history, physical examination and diagnostic tests. Interprets data, develops and implements therapeutic plans. Duties will include minor procedures, educating patients, IUD insertions, and routine annual exams. Triage is handled by RN’s. The patient volume is 15-18 per day.Reports to Women’s Health LeadershipCompetencies and Skills:Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.Demonstrated basic computer skills and able to become proficient in the use of Epic Care.Demonstrates strong analytical, strategic, and tactical planning skills.Demonstrates excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrates decision-making and problem-solving skills.Demonstrates communication that supports a culture of service excellence.Education and or Experience:Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the Pennsylvania StateBoard of Nursing required or Physician Assistant program.Certification from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner required.Current Pennsylvania CRNP Prescriptive Authority.Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License required.Working Conditions/Physical Demands:Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.OUR PURPOSE & VALUES: Everything we do is about caring for our patients, our members, our students, our Geisinger family and our communities.
