Apply a thorough understanding of Engagement Management principles to provide financial support to assigned premier client partners and managing directors, including client and engagement setup, maintenance, billing, collections, reporting, and engagement closeout; work with financial analysts and EMCs, to develop and monitor client and engagement profitability, receivables, unbilled, expenses and other key metrics to help the business leaders assess the issues in their financial portfolio and assist client engagement/account team in developing action plans for improvement

Act as lead EMC point of contact on engagements across service groups for targeted premier client and act as liaison between National Practice Operation leaders, Professional Practice Partner and EMCs to ensure compliance with firm's client/project setup process and risk management policies and procedures; ensure EMC team members understand and apply F&A policies and procedures

Operate as business partner to engagement/account team by proactively providing recommendations for improving investment and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders (as needed) through periodic touchpoints in-person or virtually, to review financials to align fees, ERPs and margins for engagements; ensure teams understand implications and guidelines of such arrangement and notify appropriate service line, operations and finance leads where appropriate

Provide financial insight and advisement early at the pursuit stage and throughout the engagement life cycle, identifying financial opportunities and risks, and escalating issues through appropriate channels; review billing arrangements, Electronic Billing Interface systems, payment terms, reserves, contractual terms and project parameters for contracts under targeted client

Collaborate with engagement/account teams, CFO Analysts/Field Finance, EMCs, and Operations team to provide insights that drive value back to the business; resolve/explain discrepancies for financial impact (eg., purchased/sold, etc.); perform in-depth client reconciliation on financial data as requested for compliance reporting with client

Participate in and facilitate ongoing system enhancements and training, contributing to the implementation of new initiatives, special projects, and strategies with a national focus; oversee work product of onshore and offshore resources, provide mentoring/coaching to assigned staff, and manage various work streams

Qualifications:

Minimum five years of recent related work experience, preferably within a professional services firm or in project or financial management

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience

Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of financial and accounting applications and experience in SAP preferred

Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and able to work on multiple concurrent assignments; with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; excellent communication (oral and written), listening, influencing, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Proficient in employing tactical approaches to resolving complex challenges by exercising critical thinking/problem solving skills, with ability to expound upon the key performance indicators, with a strong business acumen

Ability to manage change and effectively communicate to teams; and to delegate and allocate responsibilities efficiently to manage projects end to end. Effective leadership skills, operating with strong values, ethics, and integrity with the ability to lead and collaborate with virtual or in-person resources
