Our teams have repeatedly been recognized for outstanding performance by some of the most prestigious organizations in the world including The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin, NASA & Northrop Grumman.Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift Position Profile:This position will be responsible for direction and oversight of production staffing, and day-to-day manufacturing operations in a cost-effective manner for the CoRe Production Cell. This role will include the guidance and training of all CoRe technicians regarding assembly and testing of applicable production hardware and subassemblies. This role will deliver leadership and excellence in all phases of the manufacturing process affecting quality, delivery, and cost. The CoRe Production Supervisor will effectively control the training, scheduling based on customer requirements and Marotta revenue plan, and assembly and test process, with the goal of establishing an autonomous cell capable of executing all the operational aspects of the business.Minimum Required Qualifications:

5 or more years’ experience in Aerospace or Commercial production/operations environment.

Demonstrated leadership experience.

Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Initiatives.

Experience with AS9100 and ISO standards.

Exemplary verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as outside agents, including but not limited to: vendors, suppliers, customers, potential job candidates, auditors, etc.

Computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.

Must be a US Citizen

Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:

Ensure CoRe Production Cell meets or exceeds safety, quality, throughput, and productivity targets.

Oversee manpower planning, capacity planning, scheduling of equipment, and work schedule management for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

Ability to review and approve timesheets for accurate work order reporting.

Review and approval of vacation requests, while ensuring workload of team meets prior commitments.

Setup workflow for the cell at the beginning of each shift, driven by customer demands and planning recommendations.

Develop talent through use of recurring direct development meetings with technicians.

Evolve and develop the CoRe Production Cell to meet business needs and provide for development and retention of key personnel.

Manage training requirements of CoRe Production Cell technicians and facilitate training of all team members, as needed, to maintain a cross-trained workforce and to support operational goals and objectives.

Create a balanced workforce with sufficient depth throughout the team, including development of SME’s by models and support training.

Support the recruitment, hiring, orientation, management, development of the team, and when necessary discipline and terminate personnel.

Maintain a consistent focus on team building.

Engage in discussions with leadership regarding personnel and ensure confidentiality where necessary

Manage the implementation of production and engineering changes successfully. Support initial transitions from design to production including improvement of the overall process.

Review and inspection documentation inbound to the production cell.

Inspect, correct, and approve repair documentation and their dispositions as needed to ensure timely and efficient work can progress.

Provide feedback to PE, DE, QE on necessary corrections.

Review of AP, ATP, and Drawings to ensure the necessary information is present and conflicts do not exist for the production technicians prior to commencing work.

Monitor the progress of production commitments, take action to keep on track (time, money, quality) and adjust when needed.

Achieve targeted production, assembly, and test objectives.

Coordinate with Cell Manager to deliver accurate delivery commitments and update as changes occur.

Drive efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization, recommend and implement improvements/changes.

Lead/oversee the investigation, assessment, and resolution of production problems. Solve AP, ATP failures as quickly, precisely, and efficiently as possible with a goal of minimizing technician down time.

Coordinate with the appropriate engineer for necessary Corrective Action.

Perform Quality Alert trainings.

Work to resolve issues found in Final Inspection, provide feedback on findings to all technicians.

Address potential issues proactively and apply real-time problem-solving skills to achieve prompt resolution.

Additional Duties / Responsibilities:

Bring initiatives and activities to closure in a timely manner through effective interaction with individuals, both internal and external to the Marotta organization (as required).

Ensure self, and personnel company-wide, are abiding by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal system requirements.

Foster a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization.

Facilitate training/mentorship of other employees.

Assist and train inspectors as necessary to identify most critical issues to avoid future failures.

Support onboarding of production engineers.

Organize and lead team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. to provide constructive recommendations and initiate actions to support company initiatives/goals Consistently demonstrate commitment to company values.

Ensure calibration of equipment in the production cell is being maintained. Work with the Calibration Technician/Department to identify, locate equipment as necessary.

Ensure and verify completion of 6S tasks by all technicians in cell, assign/update task list as necessary.

Consistently demonstrate commitment to company values.

Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with personnel at all levels, companywide.

Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.

Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including, but not limited to: fluids, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise (air hose, etc.), and vibration.

This position entails constant exposure to abrasive chemicals.

This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).

Temperature of work environment may be affected by outside/external temperatures, machining processes, etc.

Work Schedule: 4-Day Work Week (Monday-Thursday), 10 hour days (3:00PM-1:30AM)

Some travel may be required for this position (5-10%)

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

The employee is frequently required to repetitively use/reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly required to stand at length, sit, walk, stoop, bend, turn, balance, and/or crouch, and move about the facility.

The employee may be required to lift, stack, push, pull and/or move items weighing up to 45 pounds.
