Assumes direct responsibility for ensuring the coordination of respiratory care services in all areas through approved medical practices and the meeting of all daily patient care demands. Assumes responsibility for the organizational management within the Respiratory Care Services (Respiratory, PFT Lab, EEG, Sleep Lab) and all subordinate staff in the absence of their primary supervisor. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care. Instrumental in monitoring daily budget and preparing reports on a monthly variance for interim reports. Insure that all departments within Respiratory Services comply with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.Qualifications:Graduate of an NBRC-approved school for respiratory care. Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC, and licensed by New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care; AAS with BS degree preferred. A minimum of three year of advanced respiratory care practitioner experience with primary experience in adult/neonatal ventilator management and acute respiratory care medicine is required. Previous coordinator of shift supervision and staff instruction experience required.Benefits and Perks
