Position: Bookkeeper
Job Description:
As a bookkeeper at our firm, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for our diverse client base. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
QuickBooks Desktop Experience: Proficiently navigate QuickBooks Desktop to handle bookkeeping tasks efficiently.
Cleaning Up Assistant Bookkeeper's Work: Prior experience in reviewing and cleaning up the work of assistant bookkeepers is highly recommended.
Financial Reporting: Understand and interpret financial reports such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet to provide valuable insights to our clients.
Payroll Entries: Knowledge of allocating payroll entries from payroll reports accurately. Payroll processing in QuickBooks Desktop is a plus.
Full Charge Bookkeeping: Perform full charge bookkeeping tasks, including bank and credit card reconciliations as well as journal entries.
Analytical Skills: Utilize analytical abilities to identify discrepancies, errors, and opportunities for improvement in financial records.
Organization: Maintain an organized system for record-keeping and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
Computer Skills: Showcase excellent computer skills and the ability to adapt to various software applications quickly.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years of full-charge bookkeeping experience, with a preference for candidates with more extensive experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop with at least four years of experience. QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.
Familiarity with financial reports such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
Knowledge of payroll entry allocation from payroll reports.
Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
