Tax Professional / Accountant (Springfield)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 years of tax preparation and review experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks, including ability to perform a tax closing
CPA credential preferred but not required
Core Competencies
Preparation and review of business, individual, trust, and estate tax returns
Strong understanding of accounting concepts and year-end closings
Advanced proficiency in CCH Axcess Tax
Strong QuickBooks skills (accounting—not bookkeeping level)
Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
Up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax laws and planning strategies
Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex business and personal tax returns with accuracy and efficiency
Perform tax closings and maintain accounting records for tax readiness
Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and client deliverables
Identify tax planning opportunities and ensure compliance with applicable laws
