Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in fine dining and meal preparation. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that meet our standards of excellence while ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare sandwiches, breakfast plates, salads, and hot food items according to recipes and / or menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
Slice meats and cheeses using deli slicer and cook using grill, fryer, or flat-top as needed.
Collaborate with staff to plan and execute catering events and daily meal services.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items and equipment.
Assist in menu development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
Monitor food inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate supplies.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring efficiency and safety during cooking processes.
Qualifications
2+ year experience as a deli or short-order cook (preferred)
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to prepare meals accordingly is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Able to multitask under pressure & knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene
Friendly and professional attitude
Must be able to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods
A passion for food preparation and creativity in developing new dishes.
