Mexican restaurant in search of a chef de cuisine to work along side executive chef in maintaining a extraordinary Mexican culinary experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Working along side executive chef to source, order and receive the quality ingredients for the arranged menu.
Developing, teaching, and maintaining all recipes and techniques
Managing and organizingthe kitchen team to make sure expectations and responsibilities are being met.
Overseeing and maintaining a smooth and professional service
Maintaining all kitchen equipment and following up for any repairs needed
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
Managing scheduling and inventory to meet company standards and budget.
Experience requirements:
Extensive experience in Mexican cuisine.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a management capacity
Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality-driven, high-volume kitchen
Culinary diploma or equivalent experience strongly preferred
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Proven ability to motivate and manage staff
Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a high-pressure work environment.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to multitask.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
General computer skills required
