A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an entry-level role that involves providing direct care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN).
Duties include:
Personal care: Helping patients with activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, grooming, and turning or moving
Patient information: Logging patient information and documenting food and liquid intake
Vital signs: Checking vital signs, such as blood pressure and heart rate
CNAs can also work with patients' families to provide quality care.
