We are now looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic Plumbing project management team.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable APM to work with our project management team in the Commercial, High Rise Residential, Healthcare and Hospitality industry in NYC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management procedures, excellent communication skills, an affable demeanor, a high level of organizational skills, and a proven track record of providing quality support to project managers, and foreman in the field. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of plumbing materials and methods, and should be able to read plumbing plans. The candidate will work in close proximity with project managers to learn company-specific operations.
This is an onsite position with occasional travel (<5%) into the city. The business hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm EST.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide regular updates on project status, changes, and milestones.
Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines.
Write Change orders, Provide Submittals & Closing Documents.
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, scope of work outlines.
Assist in Scheduling the work team to ensure that deadlines are met.
Assist in reviewing blueprints and building plans to determine construction requirements.
Managing relationships with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Computing proficiency (email, MS Office suite, etc…)
Previous experience in the plumbing industry.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Self-Motivated, Goal-Oriented.
English speaking, native or fluent.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
