We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Millworker & Cabinet Maker to join our team in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in woodworking, cabinetry, and millwork, with the ability to lead a team and manage projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and participate in the design, fabrication, and installation of custom millwork and cabinetry.
Lead a team of carpenters and cabinet makers, providing training, guidance, and quality control.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure precise execution.
Operate woodworking machinery and tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
Select appropriate materials and ensure proper handling and finishing techniques.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and designers to meet project requirements.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to industry regulations.
Ensure all work meets high standards of craftsmanship and client expectations.
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in cabinet making, millwork, or finish carpentry.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
Proficiency in woodworking machinery, hand tools, and finishing techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
