Job Description: As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting our attorneys and clients with various aspects of immigration law. You will be responsible for managing legal documentation, conducting research, and ensuring the smooth handling of cases. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and eager to learn about immigration law.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation
Draft legal forms, affidavits, and correspondence related to immigration matters
Maintain and organize client files, ensuring compliance with all filing and procedural requirements
Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys
Communicate with clients to gather necessary documents and update them on the status of their cases
Manage case deadlines and ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner
Assist with the preparation for hearings, interviews, and other immigration-related proceedings
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and maintaining office systems
Requirements:
Previous experience as a paralegal, preferably (though not required) We will train!
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Strong research and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred, but not required
Must be able to work 40 hours a week
