Small boutique law firm is looking for a very reliable part-time civil litigation paralegal or attorney. Our firm is causal, yet professional. This is an Entrepreneurial law firm. If you are chosen to work for this firm as an attorney, you will have a chance to learn what no law school will ever teach you.
This position right now will be for Mondays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 5:00 or 5:30 PM.
Required skills are proficient in MS Word, excellent drafting and legal research skills, must be able to file documents on N.J. E-Courts. Sharp attention to detail is required. Some limited client contact will be involved.
The type of cases that you will be involved in are breach of contract, lawsuits against various types of Home Improvement Contractors and possibly contract drafting and other matters that the firm handles. Although guidance will be provided, you should be primarily a self-started.
Absolute confidentiality is required.
Your production will be tracked and you will need to document the hours you spend on any matter.
Compensation will be determined by the quality of your work. This is a 1099 position.
