JOB DESCRIPTION:

IMC is seeking a talented Electrical Assembly/Control Panel Assembler with a high degree of problem-solving ability, to electrically wire complex drive control panels and build complete converting systems. Daily duties will include assembling cables, sub-assemblies and final components. Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years experience in electrical panel assembly, should be able to read schematics, understand wire run lists and have an outstanding attention to detail The Electrical Assembly/Control Panel Assembler assists with start-up and testing of machinery to ensure equipment meets performance standard and requirements. The position reports to the Plant Manager.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates should have at least 5 years experience in large electrical panel assembly

Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics

Good electrical/mechanical aptitude, familiarity with PLC’s, pneumatics and electrical test equipment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Good attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to reflect on completed tasks, identifying what worked well, what did not and what could be done differently next time

Flexibility to work in other areas as workload requires

Ability to work safely, maintain positive behaviors and communicate with others in a professional manner

Must be willing and able to work overtime as workload requires

Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push/pull, walk, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, stoop, climb heights, and in and out of machines

Close visual work

Ability to stand for long durations

Proficient in PLC wiring

Mechanical Aptitude a plus

AutoCAD a plus

Responsibilities:

Daily duties will include assembling cables, sub-assemblies and final components.

Assemble, wire, test and ship machines within specified quality, cost, customer and delivery guidelines

This role is responsible for power up and checkout of machines and may be responsible for under power test procedures, debugging of machine problems and resolving customer related machine issues

Assembly and troubleshooting using Allen-Bradley Products - Servo controls, PLC, HMI's, VFD Drives, Sensors. Parker, Lenze Drives and Servo Motors.

Job Requirements:

High School degree or equivalent, Technical degree or training preferred

2 years’ experience in a machinery assembly environment

Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle a multi-tasked role and good organizational skills

Math abilities to include knowledge of fractions and decimal equivalents.

Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools

Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job

Work as part of a team
