Job Description:
American Hose and Hydraulic is seeking a motivated Hydraulic Hose Shop Technician to join our team in Paterson, NJ. As a technician, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing hydraulic hoses and related components to meet customer specifications. This role requires technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble hydraulic hoses, fittings, and assemblies according to customer requirements.
Inspect and test hydraulic components to ensure proper function and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Assist customers with technical inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
Manage inventory of hoses, fittings, and related materials.
Operate shop equipment, including crimping machines, cutting tools, and testing devices.
Qualifications:
No prior experience required, but must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems, fittings, and components is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
