Sheet metal fabricator and CNC machine shop in Mahwah, NJ seeking a motivated and responsible individual to perform various shop duties. Must have experience working in a manufacturing production environment, particularly in the operation of machinery and efficient in performing repetitive tasks.
Position Overview:
The Machine Shop Assistant will support our production team, ensuring the smooth operation of our process flow. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves various functions of general shop help as listed below.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate machinery – brushing sheet metal, belt sanders, saws, CNC Mill changeovers, Bridgeport tapping machines, powder coat, blast, etc
Processing of incoming material deliveries; weigh and process scrap material
Basic preventative maintenance of equipment – changing of filters, routine cleanings, etc
Misc - washing, tumbling parts, various duties as needed
Qualifications:
Experience: minimum 2 years in a production manufacturing setting
Knowledge of machining processes and tools
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

Schedule: Monday through Friday – 7:00am to 3:30pm
