Sewing machine operator needed for industrial sewing machines. Some proficiency required with the use and maintenance of sewing machines. Double needle experience is a plus. Flexible hours. Other responsibilities include packaging and boxing of products for customers. Must be able to speak some English and work in the U.S. legally. Training available for qualified individuals Full-Time. Custom Sewing Operators must be able to understand all aspects of the job, from pattern designs to the finished product. Capable of using a variety of industrial sewing machines.
Responsibilities:
Sew a variety of fabrics including, cotton, polyester, coated materials, vinyl, and leather
Set correct tension and choose the proper thread for the product being sewn
Complete and prepare products for boxing and shipping
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with industrial sewing equipment (e.g. single and double needle, walking foot, serger, and binding)
Sew various woven and knitted fabrics from lightweight to a heavier weight, in addition to vinyl and leather
Cut and mark patterns when required
Follow instructions from a cutter on how to assemble products
Set grommets, snaps, and Velcro closures
Adjust machine settings for each product type
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of machines
Work independently with minimal direction
Plan, implement, and complete projects on time at the required standard levels
