Job Description
The candidate should be experienced in the set-up and operation of slitting machines and ancillary equipment. Responsibilities are listed below:
Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time
Responsible for set-up, loading adjusting, operation and un-loading the slitting machine in a manner that will produce quality product.
Meet and follow daily production schedule as established by converting manager.
Assist in maintaining accuracy throughout the customer run to supplied specifications by keeping production records up to date.
Ability to use tools, such as a scale, caliper, micrometer, thickness gauge, etc.
Troubleshoot slitting quality issues on slitter to include, but not limited to, monitoring of web, unwind and winder stations.
Responsible to pack product for shipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required.
Must be a motivated self-starter and posses the ability to work independently
Strong communication and organizational skills
Maintain proper safety and housekeeping practices at all times
Qualifications
Slitting machine operation required.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Working knowledge of safe work practices in a manufacturing operation.
Solid work history
Mechanical aptitude a plus
Work as part of a team
