A large spoken word media company is seeking a full-time contractor to support the Entertainment Originals Business Affairs Team. The BA team works with global talent agencies, TV/Film studios, production companies, writers, and celebrities in originating and negotiating deals for original content to be enjoyed by the global audience.
As a member of this team, you will perform critical web-based research, assist with data gathering and data entry, and contribute to editorial projects in support of the Team’s strategic initiatives.
In this role you will partner closely with the Content and Legal teams, and will work interface with external partners including agents, attorneys, and artists.
This is a 9-month contract job.
Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Pay BOE $52.00-$68.00 per hour
Experience with AirTable, Salesforce and Microsoft a MUST
1-3 years of prior experience working in entertainment preferred.
Primary responsibilities:
· Support Head of Business Affairs with daily tasks (e.g., scheduling, expenses, document management, etc.)
· Enter and maintain dealmaking records for the BA team using Salesforce and Airtable databases to track deal terms, negotiation progress, and approvals.
· Track contract payments, request payee changes, content terminations, etc.
· Preparing offer proposals for the engagement of talent and personnel for both stage and audio productions, including, but not limited to, voiceover performers, writers, sound designers, directors, casting directors, etc.
· Assist with high-priority, urgent research projects.
Basic Qualifications:
· B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree
· Fluency in Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, Salesforce, Airtable, and similar tools
· Experience working with databases and high volumes of information
· Excellent business judgment, detail and accuracy oriented, exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), and a track record of proven success.
· Excellent organizational and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in a calm and efficient manner.

· Self-starter attitude and ability to build a strong rapport and trust with resources across multiple functional areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of experience in the entertainment industry
