This leading material supplier to the construction industry is seeking a receptionist/office assistant. Our office is located in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
This position requires excellent communication skills, phone skills and an outgoing personality. Organizational skills and ability to multi-task are key for success. Computer skills are a must! Come join our team!
REPORT TO: Office Staff
HOURS: 5 days per week, 7 AM – 4 PM, Monday – Friday, 1 hour lunch.
PURPOSE: To assist office personnel in general office and customer service duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
o Answer telephones & relay calls to employees.
o Data entry of customer information
o Send out invoices and statements to customers.
o File invoices, purchase orders, quotes, etc - numerical & customer files.
o Match up documents to shipping paperwork.
o Ship & fill out UPS & Federal Express.
o Present a welcoming environment by keeping work area neat and clean.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
o Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook for email, calendar and contacts
o Other applications helpful include Excel, PowerPoint, internet and research tools
o Ability to learn new computer applications quickly.
o Good verbal communication skills
o Ability to understand and follow written/verbal English instructions.
o Ability to lift, carry and file paper files.
o Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.
