The Printing Associate is responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This role includes preparing print jobs, inspecting output for quality, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring efficient workflow in the print production area.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate digital and/or offset printing machines according to production specifications
Review job orders to determine print requirements (size, paper type, ink, etc.)
Set up, adjust, and monitor printing equipment to ensure proper operation
Inspect printed materials for accuracy, clarity, and overall quality
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on printing machines
Load paper, ink, and other supplies into machines as needed
Maintain clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
Collaborate with design or prepress teams to ensure files are print-ready
Meet production deadlines and handle multiple print jobs simultaneously
Troubleshoot issues and escalate complex problems to maintenance or supervisors
Assist with finishing tasks such as cutting, folding, binding, and packaging as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a print shop or similar production environment preferred
Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and follow work orders and safety instructions
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
This position will require working 6AM-11AM and 7PM -12AM
