Shipping, Packing, and Product Preparation Associate

Employment Type: Part-time- available hours (9am - 2pm) or (12pm-5pm)

Job Overview:

The Shipper, Packer, and Product Operations Associate will be responsible for efficiently handling the packaging, shipment, and preparation of consumer electronics. This includes inspecting, prepping, and securely packing items to ensure they reach customers in pristine condition. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and adherence to safety protocols are essential. English or Spanish speaking preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Preparation:

Inspect and prepare products.

Perform basic functionality tests and ensure all items are cleaned, and configured as necessary before packing.

Attach necessary labels, tags, or instructions to products.

Packaging:

Securely pack consumer electronics using appropriate materials (e.g., foam, bubble wrap, anti-static bags) to ensure no damage occurs during transit.

Ensure all packaged items are labeled correctly, with barcodes, serial numbers, and shipping labels in place.

Work with fragile and valuable electronics with precision and care.

Inventory Management:

Assist with maintaining an organized inventory of consumer electronics and related accessories.

Monitor and report low stock levels for packaging supplies (boxes, tape, bubble wrap, etc.).

Quality Control:

Conduct thorough checks to ensure each product is prepared and packed according to company standards.

Report any defective or damaged products.

Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization in the product preparation and packing areas.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience in shipping, packaging, warehouse operations, or product preparation, especially in consumer electronics or related industries.

Skills:

High attention to detail, with the ability to handle fragile and valuable items with care.

Basic understanding of shipping processes and documentation.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficient in basic computer operations for generating shipping labels and updating records.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs. Most packages are 5 lbs to 20 lbs, but may need to lift up to 50 lbs.

Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods during the shift.

Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Problem-solving skills for managing shipping and operational issues.
