For more information, please visit www.thermofisher.com .How will you make an impact?The Finance Manager position works closely with the Director, Finance FP&A in leading the planning, analyzing, forecasting and budgeting activities in support of the Laboratory Chemicals Division goals and objectives. This role will be the finance business partner to the Division functional leaders. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, analytical, and data focused technical skills with the ability to communicate complex topics in a summary fashion to drive concrete solutions.Responsibilities:
Drive consolidation of long-term strategic planning, annual budgeting and monthly forecast processes; work closely with business unit, functional and finance leads
Design and prepare regular monthly / quarterly business review presentations for senior management
Partner with functional leaders to provide business support and impactful financial analytics for decision-making
Prepare detailed analysis of monthly expense trend data to support accurate financial reporting and reliable forecasting of expenses
Participate and provide required leadership in facilitating various teams’ initiatives and projects (ROAS for marketing investments)
Drive a continuous improvement approach with a focus on automation, operational improvement, and elevating business partner support where applicable

Possess initiative, passion, intellectual curiosity, a positive demeanor and ability to perform as a great teammate
Support other initiatives, special projects, requests and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Key Competencies:
Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact and help to develop solutions to broad business issues
Willingness to dig into details and analyze variances and trends
Excellent financial modeling skills
Solid understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems (Hyperion Planning and Power BI preferred)
Ability to work well under pressure, handle several tasks in a complex environment, and possess strong written, oral communication and social skills
Natural bias towards continuous improvement. Exposure to PPI / Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
Ability to navigate in the complex matrix organization and influence business partners to get results
Confidence to interact with all levels of the organization
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA in Accounting or Finance
Requires a minimum of five years of proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and managing costs in a matrixed organization
Consistent track record of achieving desired results without direct report authority
Experience in a global manufacturing organization is desired
