Longbridge is looking for our next Underwriting Team Lead. The ideal candidate will possess the following:Accurately evaluate and underwrite HECM and/or Proprietary reverse mortgage loan files submitted by retail and wholesale production channels, in accordance with company policy and FHA HECM and Platinum program guidelines.Primary Job Duties:Supervise a team of underwriters and monitor team performance for the review and decisioning of Reverse Mortgage loansConduct second level reviewsAssist as needed to resolve escalation questionsAssist in hiring and training underwritersCollaborate with underwriters, processors, sales, and external brokers to assist with structuring Reverse transactionsReview underwriting decisions and conditions, and may underwrite loans as neededHave a thorough knowledge of HECM and/or Proprietary Reverse underwriting guidelines and constantly staying on top of any changesWork closely with Underwriting Management to implement plans, improve consistency, efficiency, and shorten turn times.
