Technical Product Manager

Technical Product Manager Remote – Preference to Morris County, NJ or Phoenix, AZ $120-$130/Hour Contract through April 2025 with possible extension This role will oversee and coordinate programs across the Engineering, Technical, and Customer Operations teams, including the management of product development, mechanical systems, and digital systems that support testing both in the lab and in the field. This position demands a keen eye for detail and strong skills in learning, observation, and discovery, as well as the ability to recognize connections between tasks and workflows. Description:

Oversee and direct the efforts of cross-functional teams.

Collaborate with product owners and lead engineers to define project scopes.

Manage and document the planning phases of technical projects.

Maintain our project management system across relevant work streams to ensure:

Teams stay on track and meet deadlines.

Cross-functional dependencies are identified and communicated effectively.

Risks are recognized early, with coordinated response strategies.

Resources are allocated efficiently and aligned with project goals.

Communicate release schedules and updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

A background in software or hardware engineering.

At least 5 years of project management experience.

Proven ability to lead customer-facing projects from concept through to launch.

Experience managing remote projects that involve multiple teams.

A dedication to continually improving product development processes.

Strong analytical skills to thoroughly comprehend project requirements and their significance.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to adjust messaging for different audiences.

A track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

A systematic approach to organizing tasks and driving projects forward.

Willingness to attend morning meetings in EST.

Proficiency with project management tools like JIRA, Monday.com, or similar.

Nice to have:

Understanding of the entire product development process, including electronics, mechanics, materials, firmware, applications, data, and cloud.

Insight into manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Relevant engineering experience within technology or manufacturing sectors.
