Job Title: Registered Nurse / LPNJob Description
Check daily schedule for patient volume, prepare for patient procedures, organize medications for doctors to administer, update EMR, update prescription refills, and review patient cases and questions.
Employ appropriate and timely use of Tasking in EHR. Maintain efficient patient flow. Function as the liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
Assure all patients are correctly identified prior to providing and/or documenting care.
Ensure proper preparation for patient visits and prepare pertinent information needed for patient visits.
Provide referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner in the PMS and EHR.
Check and maintain logs for emergency equipment according to policy.
Collect lab specimens according to departmental guidelines and accurately label specimens.
Obtain vital signs: BP, temp, pulse, height & weight accurately and completely as required and document appropriately in EHR.
Demonstrate appropriate telephone triage protocols and document in EHR.
Schedule appointments accurately according to department guidelines.
Review and update medication lists in EHR.
Demonstrate understanding of prescription control and refill procedures, and accurately document known allergies in EHR.
Appropriately enter orders and schedule appointments in the Practice Management System (PMS) and EHR.

Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Clifton, New Jersey.Work Environment80% administrative, 20% clinical work. Often involves triage, bucket updates, updating EMR, checking in patients, and quick revisit clinical work. Hours: Mon - Fri 7am-4pm, may vary by 30 minutes. May be asked to cover weekends, with a maximum of 6 weekends a year. Reporting primarily to the clinical manager.
