Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ and Atlanta, GA. This is a 12+ month contract position.Responsibilities: Work effectively within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support high-quality software solutions across a full stack of development tools, and technologies Explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with technologies, and best practices in software engineering Have a creative and innovative mindset, able to think outside the box to solve complex problems Pay attention to detail by carefully reviewing code and documentation to identify and fix issues to protect the quality and reliability of software Be adaptable, able to work in a dynamic environment, and adjust to changing requirements and shifting priorities Requirements: 8+ years of software design and development experience in DevOps and tools like Python, Docker, OpenShift and Linux, Windows and Artifactory Proficiency in scripting languages Bash, PowerShell, Ansible Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) Strong understanding of version control systems like Bitbucket/Git Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes) Strong knowledge in setup the infrastructure with Hadoop, Scala, Hive, JupyterHub, MongoDB, and Splunk Working knowledge of MySQL, MS SQL, and Oracle Expertise in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform) Experience with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including DevOps and Ansible, Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, etc. Understanding of data engineering best practices related to architecture patterns supporting varying data types, volume, and velocity Analytical skills - ability to troubleshoot and logically assess problems and determine solutions Experience testing infrastructure and using Terraform services/tools Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role Ability to build the scripts to automate the processes Problem-solving attitude Collaborative team spirit Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities DevOps, Jenkins, Docker Desired Skills: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Knowledge on AI/Client and Data science tools Pay Range: $63.68-$71.68Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!About Genesis10:Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
