Software Engineer IIPennington, New Jersey;Charlotte, North CarolinaJob Description:Position SummaryThe primary responsibility for this position is to champion test data automation for test data virtualization using Delphix for the software and quality engineering community. Person having strong Oracle DBA Background is a must. Person will act as Delphix SME. Also will be responsible for Delphix implementation for Oracle RDBMS, creating documentation and guidance for the onboarding of the applications.Required SkillsMust have configured Delphix Virtualization capability.

Experience in Database capacity planning for virtualization platform.

Experience in database ingestion and spinning virtual databases using Delphix.

5+ years experience as Oracle Database Administrator with managing production, development and test databases for broad range of corporate IT applications.

3-5 years experience in Oracle 11g/12c databases on RAC and non-RAC, backup & recovery, online/offline backups.

In depth understanding of Oracle database creation, configuration, upgrades, patches, and refreshes.

Working experience with database performance tuning.

Deep understanding on Oracle Copy-on-Write.

Good understanding in Database upgrades and feature implementation.

Working experience with Enterprise Manager Cloud /Grid Control 12c, security, RMAN backup and recovery procedures.

Good understanding in third party database backup tools.

Working experience in enabling and supporting end users with Delphix Self Service.

Particular emphasis on test data usage and automation is a plus.

Should be able to document and create user guides and run books.

Proficient in scripting languages - shell, Perl, Python, PHP, Bash / Powershell scripts.

Should work in Team spirit and should have the ability to operate and communicate effectively across cultural and team boundaries is vital.

Software Development Lifecycle and Agile principles/practices.

Fundamental understanding of various forms of testing and test automation practices.

Problem-solving skills and motivation to learn and triage issues are needed for this role.

Proactively work with internal teams to streamline onboarding and usage of capabilities.

Create and maintain artifacts for client consumption in a Wiki.

Desired SkillsAbility to work as an SME in many different technical areas, applying in-depth knowledge of multiple technologies as appropriate.

Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.

Ability to establish standards & best practices, design guidelines/principles and patterns as well as demonstrate a broad understanding of the applications and technical architectures.

Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.

Team player that likes to work closely with Support, Development and Engineering groups.

Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment.

Strong Presentation skills are needed.

Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively across various business and technical groups.

Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate and establish/maintain working relationships in an SAFe agile environment.
