Our goal is to remain at the forefront of assessment and measurement efficacy within the education and ed tech space as it continues to grow and evolve.Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced communications executive to join our team. This role is responsible for building enterprise thought leadership strategies and elevating executive thought leaders through a variety of tactics including speaking opportunities, owned content, and social media. This role will also align internal and external communication programs with the aim of strengthening our reputation and establishing our organization as a leading voice in the industry.This position requires visionary thinking and a collaborative approach, connecting the internal communications, public relations, marketing, and content teams to ensure a cohesive and compelling story about ETS is being delivered to our target audiences globally. The role will proactively identify and act on opportunities to create positive customer engagement and publicity using various platforms and leveraging ETS expert voices while staying abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging issues.The Executive Director provides marketing, communications, and business expertise as well as strategic, solutions-oriented counsel to leadership, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional partners - internally and among global, regional, and key local partners and subsidiaries. This position also requires expert management of agency and consultant resources. Executive Director reports to the Global Head of Enterprise Communications.Responsibilities

Deliver data-driven thought leadership programs aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives to drive business growth and improved reputations for ETS.

Build a strategy and best practices to establish ETS executives as relevant thought leaders on subjects that will drive business results.

Lead the development and delivery of executive thought leadership content including but not limited to owned newsletters, podcasts, video casts, social media content, and speeches.

Leverage measurement and listening tools to ensure that the ETS voice is resonating with the consumer and in line with market insight.

Drive innovation in thought leadership by generating new ideas, concepts, and frameworks that challenge conventional thinking and provide unique insights to stakeholders.

Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of thought leadership programs.

Building Brand Ambassadors

Working in collaboration with Internal communications, to socialize, energize, and train staff on corporate messaging so ETS staff speak with one voice.

Manage the communication needs and opportunities across ETS outside US offices.

Financial Management

Manage external agency budgets, contracts, and scopes for global communications programs.

Deliver recommendations for new resources that enable efficiency and improved performance of the ETS communications work.

Collaboration and Talent Management

Foster a high-performance environment and culture of collaboration, strategic thinking, and business innovation.

Develop communications and marketing talent through project leadership and people management.

Provide leadership and guidance to members of the team.

Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field.

Experience

10 years of business/marketing experience are required or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.

Other Requirements (Specialized skill sets, behavioral/technical):

Demonstrated track record in identifying winning consumer insights, growth opportunities, and priorities.

Experience working with R&D, Market Research, Advertising and Public Relations Agencies, Finance, Legal, Project Management and Program staff.

Experience working with global partners.

Strong collaboration and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership to impact decision-making.

Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to influence alignment to execute against strategic growth plans.

Ability to think analytically and strategically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues.

Ability to coach and mentor members of the team.

Marketing or corporate communications experience with demonstrable project management skills.

Ability to understand industry trends and market insights to make informed decisions.

Financial management skills to effectively and efficiently manage resources.

The annual target incentive for this position is 100% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level.
