JOB DESCRIPTION

The machine learning software engineer is an individual contributor who works alongside the AI Data Team. As an individual contributor you will help us deliver AI services for real-world problems to help enable the client to become an AI enabled company. Your contributions will impact the client s technical and product strategy. An entrepreneurial, start-up approach and willingness to take end-to-end ownership are key, as is the ability to collaborate with the team members, IT business leadership, and key business stakeholders across the enterprise.

As a partner with the team you will:
  • Work with a variety of technology stacks and real world use cases such as: computer vision and computational linguistics
  • Collaborate closely with business partners and leadership team to operationalize AI assets
  • Work with AWS cloud technologies to build serverless AI solutions
  • Show creativity and curiosity to build integration proof of concepts across client's ecosystem
  • Bring your curiosity, passion to deliver, and entrepreneurial spirit to help operationalize AI assets in the difficult, competitive, and exciting industry of biopharma.
  • Qualifications:
    B.S. in Computer Science or similar (Engineering, Math, Physics) or equivalent software development experience
    4+ years of software development experience delivering cloud based solutions
    4+ years of experience with Python
    Demonstrated proficiency with AWS and cloud formation
    Experience with modern deep learning frameworks: pytorch, tensorflow, etc
    Familiarity with modern computer vision, computational linguistic and/or transformer-based natural language processing (NLP) frameworks
    Experience with distributed only systems and RESTful architectures
    Experience with machine learning, AI, and online services
    Knowledge of large-scale distributed software services and solutions

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Strong software design and implementation skills

    1. Proficiency with the AWS stack and distributed/serverless systems (Microservices, Lambda, State Machines, Step Functions, etc) 2+ years
    2. Proficiency with Python 3+ years
    3. Proficiency with PyTorch, Tensorflow,
    4. Experience designing and delivering software projects 2+ years
    5. Demonstrated experience working on Machine Learning projects 1+ years (preferred NLP/NLU/Computational Linguistics related projects)

The annual target incentive for this position is 100% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance.
