Scientist Technical Development FFPrinceton, NJOn Site We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Technical Fragrance Development Manager to join our Perfumery Division at the North American headquarters in Plainsboro, NJ. You will be joining a diverse, collaborative, highly multi-disciplinary technical community focused on product development and integrity of Fine Fragrance hydroalcoholic solution and cross category portfolio. You will be working on a team, collaborating with and leading internal experts, and reporting to a Senior Technical Development Manager. This job is responsible to grow our business by supporting key clients in the region on technical briefs, line extensions and regulatory modifications. Performs with autonomy all global standard operating procedures for fine fragrance technical development including stability risk assessment, technical adjustments to formula, definition of stability test plan, run all operations related to stability test management and assessment, creation and communication of edt formula, and stability results with a recommendation in terms of best stabilized version to consider.

Independently manages technical issues in Eau De Parfum/Toilette, under the guidance of senior manager, with the clients’ R&D teams. Provides technical guidance to the internal clients (account managers, perfumers, FDMs, SSU) and the external clients as needed.

Cross-functional interaction, coordination, and planning/scheduling with Perfumers, Fragrance Development Managers, account teams, sample labs and QC/Manufacturing.

Knowledge of basic perfumery raw materials and their overall stability in alcohol solutions and line extensions with the ability to identify high risk materials.

Lead technical representative in client communication.

Work collectively with QC and manufacturing to troubleshoot and resolve market product non-conformances.

You bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Scientific field

3-5 years of experience in corporate laboraties. (Preference: Fragrance Technical role).

Excellent communication and oral skills internally and client interfacing.

Attention to detail and follow-through on project details and deadlines.

Thinking “out of the box” and entrepreneurial mentality

Experience in olfactive fragrance evaluation is preferred.

Ability to use Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, ETC.

Occasional Travel Required to NYC.
