As an Arista Hardware Engineering Senior Director, you will lead multiple cross-functional teams in the design and verification of an industry-leading portfolio of Networking Ethernet switches.
What You’ll DoWe are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and team-oriented Hardware Engineering Senior Director to drive the creation of industry-leading Cloud Networking Ethernet switches. Arista takes pride in designing and manufacturing the highest-density, highest-bandwidth products on the market.Scale and grow our Sydney hardware organizationManage, mentor, and motivate a team of hardware, firmware, signal integrity, diags, and FPGA engineers with a diverse range of experience levels, from new college grads to experienced industry veterans.Identify, define, and implement new processes and tools that help improve productivity and efficiency within the Hardware teamEstablish Sydney hardware labs to expand local development and test capabilities, including site requirements, site reviews, equipment and power planning, and site negotiations.Collaborate with SW and Central Engineering Directors to expand local teams outside of Hardware.Provide technical guidance and direction to hardware engineers to resolve complex Hardware bring-up and cross-functional problemsWork with product management teams to translate high-level product direction into future system designs with detailed, executable steps for cross-functional teams.Drive Vendor roadmaps of key components (ASICs, connectors, PCB vendors, etc.) to advance Arista’s Hardware designs, as well as align with internal product roadmapsCommunicate project status and changes to mitigate unexpected issues.Participate in schematic and board design reviewsDevelop and communicate priorities across a portfolio of projects.Drive the design of high-quality products with high first-pass yields at manufacturing.Ensure the prototype manufacturing infrastructure and capacity meet product portfolio needs.Act as the initial point of contact for customer escalations, and supervise resolution Engage with customers on product definition and critical escalations as required
