Location:Seabrook Village by Erickson Senior LivingSeabrook is a beautiful 98-acre continuing care retirement community located in the picturesque Monmouth County neighborhood of Tinton Falls—just six miles from the Jersey Shore. We’re part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states—and growing.We are hiring a Community Resources and Events Coordinator (Resident Services Coordinator II) to bring their passion for resident engagement into our community and act as the residents’ primary contact for the creation of new activities/events and groups. Partners with residents in planning, promoting and coordinating events, activities, interest groups and educational programs/entertainment. Serves as a resource for residents.This is a Full-Time, benefits eligible positions requiring weekday and occasional weekend availability.Compensation: Commensurate with experience starting at $55,000 annually.How you will make an impact:

Partners with residents to develop activities within the community as well as outside the gates of the community.

Collaborates with other pertinent departments to coordinate room usage for activities/events.

Performs preliminary work for monthly calendars (i.e. activities/events listings).

Facilitates and maintains communication regarding activities/events among residents as well as various staff.

Monitors bulletin boards, display cases, and Community Resources spaces.

Attends monthly department meetings and other meetings as appropriate.

Creates flyers for events, writes articles for community bulletins/newspapers, and provides clerical support, as necessary.

Makes resident referrals to appropriate departments, as necessary.

Assists with the creation, maintenance, and distribution of electronic and paper-based calendars as well as the activities and events listings and the “Community Resources Handbook.”

Arranges audio/visual equipment with vendor(s) appropriate to speaker and presentation needs.

Serves as information center for resident inquiries.

May train and coach resident volunteer production and AV teams to support the Community TV and audio visual needs for community activities.

May direct, produce, edit, and videotape community activities, meetings, and special projects as needed.

What you will need:

High energy and creativity.

Excellent listening and communication skills.

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Publisher, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

Video editing and directing skills may be required.

Good public speaking ability.

Good problem solving skills.

Strong customer service skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Minimum of 3 years’ service-related experience (i.e. volunteer and/or public service experience).

Experience with the senior population preferred.

What you will need:

Minimum of 3 years of social work experience in a health care setting preferred.

Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Knowledge of geriatric population and dementia preferred.
