Job Description:Client Partner – Aerospace & Defense Digital TransformationDXC is actively seeking a seasoned aerospace leader to serve as the Client Partner for an F100 A&D client. The focus of the work is in managing an existing book of business with an emphasis on growth, primarily in Digital Transformation of the Enterprise and Design and Manufacturing capabilities.The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience with OEMs (Aerospace preferred) and/or Industry Advisory (ie Consulting, Managed Services), with a mix of direct industry experience and advisory experience being optimal.The role requires both functional understanding of Engineering, Manufacturing and Aftermarket in an A&D context, combined with familiarity of the core technologies underpinning a broad Industry 4.0 Digital Transformation, to include PLM, MES, Connected Factory/IIoT, Cloud Computing, MRO and of course how these systems work together alongside ERP systems in a secure and scalable way. The ideal candidate will have deep technical familiarity with one or more of these platforms and can articulate both how clients can accelerate their Digital Transformation/Digital Thread evolution, and the value achieved from each aspect of the journey.Candidates should be articulative, clear communicators who enjoy solving client problems with a motivated, passionate team. Furthermore, the Client Partner is expected to have strong leadership qualities, as the role involves both direct and indirect management of multi-disciplinary teams supporting a key A&D Client, plus oversight of extended teams including ecosystem partners and client resources.This is a hybrid role, with travel varying based on client needs and the proximity of the candidate to the client’s key locations.In general, 50% travel should be assumed, with significant fluctuations based on project flow and client needs, to client sites across the United States. International travel is infrequent, but quarterly global travel may be required.Metro areas such as Hartford CT, Dallas TX, Charlotte NC and Phoenix AZ are preferred, but not required.Skills, Capabilities and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering, manufacturing/operations or supply chain discipline
Manufacturing Engineering and Operations experience in a discrete manufacturing environment (A&D is preferred), including performance, quality and availability measurements for continual improvement
Experience in Consulting, Managed Services and/or client service delivery
Experience in Digital Design and Manufacturing data flow, especially downstream of the PLM environment Knowledge of Flexible automation and integration systems; shop floor business practices; PLM, MES and MRO
Architecture, and Implementation of a MES environment including elements of machine connectivity, MES configuration and data connections to ERP and other systems of record
Understanding of SCADA systems, HMI Design and Implementation
Experience in P&L Management
Background in multi-site, configuration management and best practices for AGILE software development to meet customer priorities and timelines
Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills and ability to collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and vendor partners at all levels of an organization
Leadership of automation projects within the A&D or manufacturing industry
Strong project management skills and familiarity with PMI (Project Management Institute) principles
Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills with senior client executives
Ability to travel on average 50%
Key Responsibilities:
Account Leadership: Take ownership of the client account, developing a deep understanding of their business objectives, challenges, and requirements within the highly regulated aerospace manufacturing industry.
Service Delivery: Oversee 24x7 service delivery of Consulting and Strategy, application development and management, ITSM, infrastructure, and application services, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations, and align with best practices. Ensure the quality and integrity of services delivered matures, addressing any issues proactively.
Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within the global aerospace manufacturing firm, serving as a trusted advisor for IT-related matters in a highly regulated industry.
Account Growth: Identify opportunities for account growth particularly through Industry 4.0 initiatives, using a consultative approach to fuel expansion of existing and emerging technologies to provide business value.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with internal teams, including the Delivery organization, to develop and execute account-specific strategic plans that align with the client's business goals.
Financial Management: Manage the financial aspects of the account, including budgets, forecasts, and profitability, adhering to PMI project financial management guidelines.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the account's operations, employing PMI risk management techniques.
Contract Management: Monitor and manage contractual agreements, including renewals and amendments, ensuring contract compliance in a highly regulated global industry.
Governance and Reporting: Structure Governance and lead team interactions by providing regular reports and updates to senior leadership, the client, and the Delivery organization on the status of the account.
Security and Compliance: Must be able to meet all DXC and client security policies and be familiar with business and IT operations in an environment with strict security policies and procedures.
Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $114,200 - $212,000.Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
