Provides phlebotomy service to Inpatient and Outpatient customers.
Venipuncture and capillary methods are performed on patient populations
ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Phlebotomy procedures, patient
identification and specimen transport are performed in accordance with
laboratory standards. Other aspects of the job require specimen
receiving and processing according to procedures. Excellent
communication and computer skills are required.Must be a graduate of an approved Phlebotomy Program. Certified by an
accrediting agency preferred. Minimum one year of hospital experience
required.
