Robert Half's Full Charge Bookkeeper position is something you might be interested in. This short-term contract / temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are looking for people who can establish and maintain the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as handle all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements.What you get to do every single day
Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections
Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets
Maintaining historical records by filing documents Requirements - Highly organized and self-motivated
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Background in payroll preferred
Foundational knowledge in in-house payroll
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Quickbooks Online experience desired
Full charge bookkeeping experience
Quarterly experience
Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
3+ years of bookkeeping experience
Prior experience with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree
Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
High school diploma or similar accreditation, and an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
