What you’ll do as a Quality Control Supervisor
Initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
Insure cable system, vaults, pedestals, asphalt and concrete patching are done per specifications
Fill out Quality Control forms and upload in job tracker/job docs
Delegate work to crew when repairs are necessary
Re-inspect repairs per client's requirements
Must have at least 5 years of experience in CATV work
Some computer skills required including some knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
What you’ll need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Possess a valid driver’s license (class "C" minimum) or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position (possibly class "B" - light commercial).
Provide verifiable evidence of experience in CATV construction field and prior supervisory experience in construction or related field.
Preferred candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
Must have strong project management skills.
Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
Able to perform the physical tasks required in this position for the entire assigned shift.
Physical abilities & exposures
Routinely: Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily. Walking - 4 to 6 hours daily. Climbing - 0 to 2 hours daily. Driving - 0-4 hours daily. Bending/Twisting - 0 to 2 hours daily. Pushing/Pulling - 0 to 2 hours daily. Repetitive Motion (grasping, manipulation) - 0 to 2 hours daily.
Occasionally: Lifting (weights up to 100 lbs.) - rarely. Lift & Carry (weights of 50 to 60 lbs.) – occasionally.
