Sr Logistics Specialist

SummaryThe Sr Logistics Specialist is responsible for performing as a team/project leader for key operational program components while also serving as the focal point for equipment management, field deployment operations, program requirements implementation, and reporting. This role is also responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and other government agencies to include international partners. Duties and Responsibilities

Monitors and tracks all equipment through Federal Regulations and other defined processes.

Plans, coordinates, and directs an effective equipment maintenance and repair program.

Serves as technical advisor on all equipment issues and assists with equipment budgets and purchases.

Develops and maintains an equipment management plan to include life cycle asset management, spare stock requirements, maintenance interval/requirements, failure analysis trending, equipment disposition and local or online database tracking.

Leads initial acceptance and delivery of equipment and documentation of loan agreements and property transfers.

Recommends, presents, interprets, negotiates, and/or implements policies/procedures in support of property management objectives.

Acts as liaison between all facets of associated supply chain activities.

Evaluates, implements, and directs all required tasking provided from the external customer and program/resource management.

Maintains communication with organization program leads to ensure adequate equipment configuration and, operational readiness.

Coordinates the collection, interpretation and reporting of functional performance and mission measures against initiatives, objectives and milestones. with federal equipment technical leads.

Deploys to United States and International locations in support of training events, exercises, drills and real-world events.

Fills on-call position on a weekly rotational basis to maintain 24/7 coverage of nuclear emergency response programs.

Manages and tracks personnel and equipment program qualification standards through National level readiness management systems. Deploy and perform tasks in radiation environments at forward locations that require in-depth knowledge of Radiological Worker II requirements and maintain required medical qualifications.

Provides deployment and field operations utilizing both classified and unclassified computing and communications systems.

You Must Have

5+ years of experience of job-related experience

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related technical discipline or two additional years of direct work experience

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job

United States Citizenship

Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
