Job Description:
Purpose of Job: Provide machining services for production and maintenance group in support of production and facilities machine repairs and improvements.
Responsibilities
- Performs set up of lathes, mills, grinders, etc for precision machining operations.
- Performs standard maintenance on lathes, mills, grinders as per schedule.
- Works from drawings, sketches, and measurements to transfer information to proper machine set ups.
- Utilizing machine set up from drawings and sketches, fabricates parts to specifications.
- Works with Maintenance Technicians to identify worn machine parts to fabricate new.
- Assists maintenance technicians in troubleshooting machine malfunctions, providing ideas for improvement.
- Fabricates components in a precision fashion to support proper machine operation.
- Maintains workshop in a clean, orderly fashion in accord with 6S principles.
- Utilizes correct PPE at all times for general and specialized job functions.
Requirements of This Position:
Lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent Attendance
Pass a background check and drug screen
One year of machining experience
Education:
Associate degree or one years of Appropriate Trade School, or equivalent experience.
