Summary: The Leasing Specialist will assist the Property Manager and Property Management team in driving the property leasing efforts and is expected to uphold all Company policies and values.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with the team to maximize revenue, occupancy, resident, and retention goals.

Generate traffic, participate in outreach marketing, execute marketing plans, think outside the box to drive leasing efforts to hit leasing goals.

Lease and renew apartments, generate leases, follow new lease and renewal procedures.

Tour prospective residents, provide information on property amenities and services, create excitement and desire to live in the community.

Communicate with residents and prospective residents in person or via phone, text, email, social media and online sources.

Respond quickly to inquiries questions and concerns from residents and prospects.

Participate in and host fun community events.

Report accurate daily, weekly and monthly leasing activity.

Provide exemplary customer service to residents, prospective residents and visitors.

Create a fun and positive environment for residents.

Enforce community policies.

Assist in leading, developing and training the leasing team.

Perform duties in compliance with federal and state laws pertaining to the Apartment Industry and Fair Housing.

All other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications Required:

Strong commitment to company goals and values.

Prior leasing experience and knowledge of leasing process.

Experience with Yardi highly preferred, proficient computer skills necessary.

Able to build rapport, make genuine connections and create an exciting environment.

Pleasant attitude to all prospects, residents and associates.

Excellent communication and listening skills.

Strong customer service skills.

Strong marketing skills, outgoing, self-starter, creative.

Ability to communicate, read, write in English; bi-lingual a plus.

Reliable transportation.

Work hours are scheduled around the requirements of the property and are subject to change as needed. Must be able to work in a highly varied work schedule. Job requirements often include weekend work hours.
